The Tonelli’s are no stranger to Ann Carter Photography. I had the pleasure of photographing their family earlier this year in Hawaii. I can’t believe how much their son Jackson has grown over the year! For their fall family photography session, we traded in the blue Hawaiian sky and ocean for beautiful weeping willows and an apple orchard. The Cider Hill Family Orchard is a perfect location for fall family photography sessions because of the variety it has to offer. Right now it is their apple picking season and next month they will begin their pumpkin harvest. They also have delicious treats and fresh apple cider to enjoy.
We started their session later in the afternoon to achieve soft golden light. It was still a little warm so the willow trees provided us shade to keep us cool. We then ventured over to the orchards where the trees were producing an abundance of apples and the lighting was just what we wanted. I love it when the warm glow of the sun peaks through the trees. That has to be one of my favorite things as summer transitions into fall.
I hope I get the chance to photograph more families this fall at the Cider Hill Family Orchard, as I can only imagine what it will look like when the leaves change colors and the pumpkins are ready for picking. Or I’ll just have to drag my husband out there for their delicious apple cider. Either way, I can’t wait to go back!
Please visit my facebook page for more information on my upcoming fall and winter mini sessions. This year I will be dedicating one Saturday in October and November to quick and easy mini sessions. They will have limited time slots and special pricing. I am also continuing to book full family sessions for the fall and winter for a more one on one feel. I want you to have the best Christmas cards this year!
